Congratulations to the following clubs and organisations for receiving funding through the 2020-2021 suite of infrastructure project grant programs consisting of: Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program 2020-21 (CRSFP), Grassroots Facilities Program Round 1 (GFP) and Regional and Districts Facilities Program Round 1 (RDFP).
Cleve District Bowling Club Incorporated – $19,100 to replace the ceiling and install air conditioning at Cleve District Bowling Club.
Cleve Sporting Bodies Club Incorporated – $46,200 to resurface multi-purpose courts including an upgrade of court drainage at Cleve Sporting Bodies Club.
Elliston Golf Club Incorporated – $15,750 to upgrade 15 tee blocks and 28 new signs, at Elliston Golf Club.
Mangalo War Memorial Community Centre Incorporated – $45,850 to resurface three tennis courts and install removeable net posts at Mangalo War Memorial Community Centre.
Marble Range Community & Sports Centre Incorporated – $112,750 to install four new light towers providing 100 lux sports floodlighting at Marble Range Community and Sports Centre.
Port Lincoln Hockey Association Incorporated – $140,300 to upgrade sports floodlighting at Ravendale Community Sport Complex.
Port Lincoln Golf Club Incorporated – $23,000 to construct stormwater capture and storage system at Port Lincoln Golf Club.
Port Lincoln Primary School Governing Council – $10,650 to construct a playground at Port Lincoln Primary School.
Port Neill Districts Community Sports Club Incorporated – $82,000 to install an additional netball court and extend existing clubrooms at Port Neill Districts Community Sports Club.
Rudall Community Sports Club Incorporated – $135,000 to resurface multi-use courts surface and upgrade court lighting at Rudall Community Sports Club.
The Corporation of the City of Whyalla – $424,750 to construct new unisex change rooms, including public amenities and umpire’s room at Jubilee Park.
Several community organisations have also been successful in obtaining funding in the latest round of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program.
Coffin Bay Progress Association – $20,000 for roof repairs to the Coffin Bay Community Hall.
Coorabie and District Progress Association – $6,000 to upgrade the Fowlers Bay playground.
Koongawa Tennis Club – $4,000 to purchase a secondhand playground.
Kyancutta Ramblers Golf Club – $6,000 for kitchen upgrade and computer installation.
Minnipa Progress Association – $3,500 to finalise the Minnipa town park.
Rotary Club of Port Lincoln – $12,000 to provide disabled access at Bedford Port Lincoln.
Streaky Bay and Districts Community Club – $6,000 for the Streaky Bay Community Compled oval irrigation support structure.
Wudinna and Districts Show Society – $9,850 to replace the roof on the historical society shed.
