The RDA network is made up of local leaders who work across government, business and community groups with the goal to improve their local region. This is achieved by supporting economic and workforce development, local procurement, strategic regional planning and informing government programs and infrastructure investments.

RDA committees are critical in the delivery of this vision, and to the successful implementation of the Australian Government’s Regional Investment Framework (RIF), which guides a coordinated approach to regional development, underpinned by local engagement.

There are 50 RDA committees in Australia and all Chair positions are appointed at the same time. In South Australia, the Chair is appointed jointly by the Australian Government Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Territories, the South Australian Minister for Regional Development and the President of the Local Government Association of South Australia.

The Committee Chair has overall responsibility for setting strategic direction and ensuring that objectives and outcomes of their RDA Committee are achieved. The Chair has a hands-on role and is active in facilitating economic development opportunities for the region.

If you are a skills-based regional leader with vision, drive and business experience who wishes to make a difference to Eyre Peninsula, then apply for the Chair position with Regional Development Australia Eyre Peninsula.
