NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.  NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life.  The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

Events are being held across Eyre Peninsula including Port Lincoln, Streaky Bay, Whyalla and Ceduna.

The NAIDOC March will be held in Port Lincoln on 5th July including an Opening Ceremony; Whyalla 5th July followed by a sausage sizzle and free screening of Storm Boy; and Ceduna 8th July followed by a Family Fun Day and movie night.

Other events include art and craft activities at the Streaky Bay RSL; NAIDOC Balls being held in Whyalla, Port Lincoln and Ceduna; Port Lincoln’s annual Community Cookout Day; and don’t miss the free concert by Electric Fields in Ceduna!!
