The Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation enables the people of the Eyre Peninsula to proactively contribute to the long term benefit of our region by building community endowment, addressing local needs through charitable grant-making and encouraging philanthropy.

The Foundation was initiated through a steering committee of the Eyre and Western Regional Development Board in 2004 and incorporated in that year. In 2008 a Board was appointed and the Foundation began formal operations in 2010. The Foundation was initiated through a steering committee of the Eyre and Western Regional Development Board in 2004 and incorporated in that year. The Foundation covers the entire Eyre Peninsula. They have established programs for Health with a major campaign to initiate a Home Hospice Service in the region, an Education Fund and Scholarships. Community capacity building through a small grants program and establishing a second-hand Book Bazaar to assist the Foundation to raise funds. The Book Bazaar’s volunteers accept books, puzzles, games, cd’s and records from all over Eyre Peninsula.
