The Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation (The Foundation) has been invited to attend the 84th Annual EPLGA Conference being held at the Port Lincoln Race Club on Thursday 25th-26th February 2021. Foundation directors have been busy preparing promotional material and will be available at the conference to discuss the importance of the Foundation to the Eyre Peninsula region.
Focus of the conference is Building Regional Resilience, a mutual goal as we encourage the people and communities of Eyre Peninsula to proactively contribute to the long-term benefit of our region.
Foundation Chair Garry Downey states “We continue to undertake philanthropic activities including building the community endowment, providing grants, and growing our corpus”.
The Foundation carefully manages a growing base of donated funds and works with philanthropic and other partners to ensure the best possible value and impact from each of its community projects, regional student advancement and home hospice services on Eyre Peninsula. The Foundation is supported by the invaluable work of the Book Bazaar volunteers and committed administrative staff.
The Foundation currently holds over $500,000 in funds invested, receiving over $28,000 in donations in 2019/20 and distributing over $62,000 in grants. The Foundation also distributed 380 Back to School Vouchers across the Eyre Peninsula on behalf of the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
The mission of the Foundation is to provide a lasting legacy for future generations on the Eyre Peninsula.
