Eyre Peninsula produce was highlighted in the 2018 delicious. Produce Awards with the region’s pork, salt and seafood amongst the South Australian winners. 

In the paddock category Boston Bay Smallgoods Company was awarded for its free-range pork, and Clean Seas Seafood’s Spencer Gulf Hiramasa kingfish, Gazander Oysters’ Pacific oysters, Olsson’s Sea Salt and Yumba Aquaculture’s greenlip abalone received from The Sea awards.

The delicious. Produce Awards celebrate Australia’s magnificent bounty of ethical, sustainable and innovative ingredients, and the passionate, talented people behind them, as nominated by the country’s top chefs and restaurateurs. They aim to spotlight new and native products and outstanding producers who are often the unsung heroes behind every great chef and every great meal.

These producers were among 19 South Australian winners who will have their produce blind-tasted by a national panel of judges to decide the overall category winners, which will be announced in August. Good luck to all of our producers.
