The Australian Event Symposium has launched for 2017 with a Super Early Bird registration rate until May 15.
The theme for this year’s Symposium is “Events, Technology and the Art of the Unexpected”. The two-day conference will explore how those delivering business, public and special events can produce unforgettable experiences by including inventive, unexpected moments throughout their events and through the use of the latest and greatest event technology. The events focus will also explore the connection between events and tourism, looking at how the two industries can work together more effectively.
A gathering for the entire Australian events industry, sessions topics include cyber security, multicultural events, how to maximise the events-tourism relationship, new age revenue streams, curating conference content and creating a great delegate journey.
There will also be four in-depth workshops on issues including event security and event longevity.

The conference will be held on 14 and 15 September on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland after the Australian Event Awards ceremony kicks things off in the evening of 13 September.
