The Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation has an opportunity to take up matched funding for Back-To-School vouchers for 2024.

Foundation Chairperson, Greg Barry said “The 2023 program highlighted a much greater need for help with basic school equipment than the Foundation program currently provides. Importantly, local communities can support children at their own schools by donating specifically to the Back to School Vouchers program. Funds donated in this way will be matched to double their impact locally, adding to the normal distribution.”

“We still see huge need to continue to help families start their children off well-prepared for their learning years. The support of the FRRR program is truly valued, and their willingness to match locally donated funds creates an outstanding opportunity for EP residents and businesses to boost the impact for local children.”

Mr. Barry also acknowledged the support of School Principals and Governing Councils with the success of the Back to School Program.

If you would like to contribute to this funding opportunity which is available right now,  you can make a tax-deductible donation to the Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation by 25 September 2023 which will lock in matched funding for Back to School vouchers for 2024. All of the vouchers will be distributed to schools across the Eyre Peninsula. Donors can request that their donation support a selected school or district on the Eyre Peninsula. The matched funding enables two $50 vouchers for every $50 contributed.

The Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation has been delivering Back to School Vouchers on the Eyre Peninsula since 2009 to those in necessitous circumstances.

The vouchers are used for notebooks, pens and pencils, uniforms, shoes, underwear, bathers, lunch boxes and school bags.

The Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation carefully manages a growing base of donated funds and works with philanthropic and other partners to ensure the best

possible value and impact from each of its community projects, regional student advancement and home hospice services on Eyre Peninsula. The Foundation is supported by the invaluable work of the Book Bazaar volunteers and committed administrative staff.

Donation forms can be obtained on the Foundation’s website at www.epcf.com.au, via email to admin@epcf.com.au, or by calling 0400-685-520 for direct deposit information.
