Please note this position is multi-classed as AHP1 or AHP2 and classification will be determined by knowledge and experience. These positions are for work in the Restorative Care Team and/or the Clinical Services Team(s).

Under the direct supervision of Physiotherapist, the AHP1 Physiotherapist  will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of health services, appropriate to the needs of the local community. To achieve this, the Physiotherapist works as a member of a multi- professional Rehabilitation team, including health professionals and service providers from other sectors, and utilises a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment / therapy and evaluation approaches.

The Regional Physiotherapist AHP2 applies clinical experience, increasingly generalist and / or specialist clinical knowledge and professional competence to plan, implement and evaluate a comprehensive and integrated range of Rehabilitation services, appropriate to the needs of the local community. The Regional Physiotherapist works under reduced clinical direction, and may contribute to the clinical supervision of less experienced allied health professionals, allied health assistants and students. As a member of a multi-professional team, including health professionals and service providers from other sectors, the Regional Physiotherapist utilises a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment / therapy and evaluation approaches

Must hold a recognised qualification within the Physiotherapist profession, and be eligible for full membership of the Australian Physiotherapist Professional Association.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements. COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in SA Health/health care setting.
