The company’s expanding operational footprint includes multiple farm sites across the Spencer Gulf; our Hatchery in Arno Bay; Fish Health and R&D facilities in Port Lincoln; and our world-class Seafood Processing Facility in Adelaide where our group support functions are also located.

Overview of Master V & MED II Positions:

We currently have opportunities for Vessel Master V operators and also Marine Engine Drivers (MED II) at our Port Lincoln Farming Operations.

Vessel Masters will be required to create and deliver the highest standard of vessel safety, vessel handling, compliance, and effective crew management of our Aquaculture vessels.

Marine Engine Drivers will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day safe and efficient operation of our Aquaculture vessels and harvesting operations. This role is responsible for all mechanical equipment, as well as pre-starts, shutdowns, and daily maintenance.

Candidates for both roles will ideally have a proven background in similar positions, preferably in the Aquaculture or Fishing industries.

Key Requirements include: 

  • Master V Certification and/or Marine Engine Driver MED II
  • Operating/maintaining Aquaculture Work Vessel
  • Ensure safe and secure operations at all times
  • Regular safety checks on all equipment including cranes
  • Maintaining a safety management system and completing the necessary documentation
  • Adhere strictly to Clean Seas’ policies and procedures
  • Conducting risk assessments and introducing practical safety measures
  • Supervise Team Leaders
  • Deliver leadership & guidance to the crew enabling professional growth
  • Supervision and assistance with maintenance as necessary
  • Maintaining all vessel records to the appropriate standard
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work when required
  • The right to work in Australia
