Whyalla Hospital & Health Service is a regional hospital serving the communities of Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network (FUNLHN). It is growing in size, catchment and complexity and is supported by an increasing number of salaried medical staff, VMO’s, junior doctors, visiting FFS doctors and locums.
The role of Medical Liaison Officer is to strategically plan the development of positions, appointment and rostering of medical staff in a manner which will ensure the ongoing provision of high-quality services at Whyalla Hospital 24 hours per day.  The officer, reporting to the Manager of Medical Workforce, has a key role in the effective functioning of Medical Administration.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.  COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Public Health Act 2011 (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) to work in SA Health/health care setting.
