Grants up to $5 million available through the Future Jobs Fund

The State Government’s $200 million Future Jobs Fund was established in the State Budget to support the development of globally competitive industries and industrial capabilities within South Australia.

Applications are sought from businesses and other non-government organisations for funding grants and/or loans to create ongoing jobs in the following sectors and industrial capabilities:

  • Shipbuilding and defence
  • Renewable energy
  • Mining, including the mining industry supply chain
  • Tourism, food and wine
  • Health and biomedical research, including businesses expanding to provide National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services
  • Information technology
  • Advanced manufacturing.

There will be one round of funding with the following two stages:

  1. Grants of up to $50,000 are available to assist applicants develop a business case in support of applications to the Future Jobs Fund for grants and or loans. Applicants must contribute matching funds of at least the amount of the business case support grant sought. Applications close on Friday 14 July. 
  2. Grants from $100,000 to $5 million dollars, and low interest loans from $100,000 to $10 million are available to create ongoing jobs in the sectors listed above. Applications close Friday 29 September.
