The Australian Salmon Fishing Championship is an annual event held in the Elliston district and run by the Elliston Community and Visitor Information Centre and Australian Salmon Fishing Championships committee.

Salmon to be caught from the beaches between Sheringa and Mount Camel from 1 June to 31 August 2021 and weighed in with your entry ticket at the Elliston Caravan Park between 9.00am and 6.00pm.
Prizes each week for mystery weight – $200
Overall prize for the 3 months: $2,000 for heaviest, $750 for second heaviest
Monthly $50 photo competition

Entry for the competition is $10 and tickets are available from Elliston Information Centre, Elliston Hotel, Elliston Waterloo Bay Tourist Park, Elliston Caravan Park, Venus Bay General Store and Sheringa Roadhouse.
