In collaboration with Country Arts SA, the City of Whyalla is seeking a highly motivated, energetic and creative individual who is ready to cultivate Arts and Cultural opportunities in the Whyalla region and surrounds.
About the role:
The Arts and Cultural Facilitator is responsible for the successful and measurable delivery of arts and culture outcomes, and for the delivery of a three-year Business Plan, with goals and actions that align with shared outcomes of Council’s Arts and Cultural Strategy and Country Arts SA’s Strategic Plan.
This is a full time (contract) position responsible to the Community Services Coordinator and our partner Country Arts SA.
We are seeking a passionate professional to coordinate innovative and sustainable arts and cultural activities that encourage broad participation, engage community, and further enrich the diverse and vibrant culture of the community.
We are looking for a motivated, creative, energetic, and experienced individual who has:
- A passion for the arts and for working alongside the community
- Knowledge of the arts sector including creative industries, cultural tourism, community arts and festivals and events
- Strong administrative skills including capacity to use a variety of software, planning and report writing
- Experience in project management and delivery, policy, grant writing and stakeholder engagement

The Arts and Cultural Facilitator role is a collaborative position between the Whyalla Council and Country Arts SA and contracted to 30 September 2025.
The salary applicable for this role is in accordance with the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers’ Award and Council’s current Enterprise Agreement, paid at Level 4 which commences at $81,025 plus superannuation per annum.
