- Salary: $56,145 – $60,396 p.a (pro rata) – Ongoing Part Time – OPS2
Working under general direction, you will provide a range of non-clinical, psychosocial rehabilitation support to mental health consumers in conjunction with those services provided by the clinical Intensive Community Programme (ICP) team. The tasks and duties you perform will be of a practical nature, supporting a resident’s accomplishment of their stated goals of rehabilitation and recovery. This will involve working across a range of environments to assist and support the development of the resident’s rehabilitation in partnership with their existing formal and informal networks.
Striving to improving health outcomes for consumers, their carers and families, you will establish and maintain therapeutic relationships and provide assertive psychosocial support services to both consumers and their carers. It is expected that you will respond sensitively and non-judgmentally to consumers and their families, and maintain confidentiality at all times. You will provide services that are culturally sensitive to the needs of people and enable them to make decisions concerning their mental health.
You will have prior experience in working with consumers who have mental health related issues, demonstrating sound knowledge of self-management strategies in relation to mental health. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will equip you to relate to a diverse group of individuals and communities. This will include confidence in reporting to and liaising with multiple stakeholders across the spectrum of community services or health. You will bring the ability to work both independently as a member of a team, striving to enhance team effectiveness and contribute to a spirit of team cooperation.

This is a part time vacancy, working 60 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements. COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Public Health Act 2011 (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) to work in SA Health/health care setting.
