  • Salary: $139,519 p.a  – Ongoing Full Time – RN/M6.2

As the Executive Officer/Director of Nursing you will provide strategic and operational leadership, governance and direction for the nursing services across the Health Services in Streaky Bay and Elliston. The focus of the role will be the development and implementation of frameworks and systems within which nursing/midwifery employees practice, and on monitoring and evaluating clinical practice and service delivery standards. As an expert manager practising at an advanced level, you will have an extended scope of practice with a high degree of autonomous decision making.

You will accept accountability for the governance and practice standards of nurses/midwives, the development and effectiveness of systems to support, evaluate and consistently improve nursing/midwifery practice and healthy work environments, and the cost effective provision of health services within your span of control.

As the Executive Officer/Director of Nursing it is expected that you will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated experience in management including personnel, finance and strategic planning and leadership, you will bring the ability to foster a workplace environment that develops staff potential. Your effective leadership skills, including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation, will hold you in good stead for this role.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements. COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Public Health Act 2011 (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) to work in SA Health/health care setting.
