The Enrolled Nurse role supports the Registered Nurse/Midwife in the provision of person-centred care consistent with regulatory and statutory requirements. He/She works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse/Midwife, however at all times he/she retains responsibility for his/her actions and remains accountable in providing nursing/midwifery care.

The Enrolled Nurse works with patients and their families where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds and recognises and responds to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately.

The Enrolled Nurse is expected to develop clinical skills while keeping up to date with professional standards of practice and quality management initiatives consistent with organisational policies and provide person-centred evidence based care.  Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment are essential.

The successful applicant will be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.  Proven experience in the provision of nursing care in the healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice is essential.

This is a temporary part time vacancy working 64 hours per fortnight over a 5 day roster.  Salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.  In addition to the annual salary package, we also offer salary sacrifice benefits, employer superannuation contributions and leave loading.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.  COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Public Health Act 2011 (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) to work in SA Health/health care setting.
