- Salary $68,481 – $93,439 per annum (pro rata) – Ongoing Part Time (32 hrs per week) – RN/M1
As a Registered Nurse you will provide nursing and/or midwifery perioperative services in the Port Lincoln Hospital. You will be required to provide evidenced based care, developing clinical skills while keeping up to date with professional standards of practice and quality management initiatives consistent with organisational policies.
In this role you will be working with children, youth, women and their families where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds. Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills will be essential. You will be required to recognise and respond to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately. You will require the ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting and be able to prioritise workload and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
The successful applicant must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate or registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate or registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. A demonstrated and current competence in the area of Perioperative Nursing essential.
This is a part time vacancy, working 64 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
