As the Enrolled Nurse your role is to support the Registered Nurse/Midwife in the providing person-centred care consistent with regulatory and statutory requirements in a health care setting. You will provide evidenced based care, developing clinical skills while keeping up to date with professional standards of practice and quality management initiatives consistent with organisational policies. You will work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse/Midwife, however at all times you will retain responsibility for your own actions and remain accountable in providing nursing/midwifery care.
Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential as you will be required to work with children, youth, women and their families where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds. You will need to recognise and respond to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately. It is important that you can prioritise your own workload, recognise and report changes in clinical condition.
The Enrolled Nurse must be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Experience in the provision of nursing care in the healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice essential.
This is a part time vacancy with more than one position available, working hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
