The Direct Care Worker will assist in providing a direct client service to residents of the Crestview Hostel Residential Care Home.

The Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) has moved to a Consumer Directed Care model for the provision of aged care, disability and support services. This allows consumers to maintain greater control over their lives by allowing them to make choices about the services they receive and who delivers those services. Consumers are encouraged to actively participate in identifying and setting goals, and to determine what level of involvement they want in managing their own care arrangements.

The Direct Care Worker will also provide diversional therapy to individuals and/or groups in accordance with established programs and will be required to liaise with nursing staff, other health professionals and families to achieve the best quality of life for individual residents.

The successful applicant must have completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position

As this is a part time vacancy with more than one position available, working hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.  In addition to the annual salary package, we also offer salary sacrifice benefits, employer superannuation contributions and leave loading.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.  COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Public Health Act 2011 (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) to work in SA Health/health care setting.
