About the role

This is an opportunity for an experienced, passionate and customer orientated Food Service Assistant to join our Lincoln Grove Retirement Village on a casual basis. This role is an integral part of developing RetireAustralia to become one of the leaders in the industry, placing our residents at the centre of everything we do.  Reporting to the Village Manager, your main duties will include:

  • Taking orders from customers and advising on daily specials or allergens
  • Providing high quality table service including clearing of tables after courses are completed
  • Assisting in food & drinks preparation, serving and cleaning duties
  • Maintaining exceptional cleaning and hygiene standards including washing up of pots, pans and cooking utensils if and when required
  • Ensuring all HACCP and food safety regulations and procedures are upheld and relevant paperwork completed in a timely manner
  • Following instruction from the Village Manager on any other necessary requirements
  • Cleaning and stacking away dishes, washing up of pots, pans and cooking utensils if and when required
  • Cleaning coffee grinders, coffee machines, blenders and any other equipment
  • Liaising with the Chef on duty and performing other duties as directed

About you

You will have experience in a similar Food Service or Kitchen Hand style role, you will be a team player who is passionate about customer service and able to work in a fast pace environment. Above all you will be passionate about the retirement industry and contributing to the lives of others. To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Barista Training (desirable)
  • A valid National Police Check
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • A current CPR
  • Clean, neat and tidy presentation
