The District Council of Ceduna is located on the far West Coast of the beautiful Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. The district boasts coastal playgrounds, jaw dropping landscapes and stunning beaches. It’s home to a diverse range of multi-cultural community groups offering mining, farming, fishing, aquaculture, social services, health, education and tourism. With the township of Ceduna being the central hub, the region welcomes over 240,000 tourists annually and is famous for its King George Whiting, Oysters and Oysterfest festival.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager Assets and Infrastructure is responsible for the effective and efficient development and management of works operations programs.
The main responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and guidance across Council to ensure the most effective and efficient use of Council resources and assets including people, property, land, resources, plant, and equipment
- Development, review, and delivery of Council’s asset maintenance and renewal plan
- Procurement and Project management (including progress reporting) on all Asset and Infrastructure projects of Council
- Provision of management reports to the CEO and key stakeholders
The successful candidate will have proven experience of leadership, operational management, and continuous improvement, ideally within a Local Government environment. You will have a commercial focus and be capable of preparing and managing capital works and project budgets.
