This is an opportunity to join a leading regional council and contribute to the strategic focus of the city and support the objectives of Council’s strategic plan and delivery program. Council is seeking a professional manager to lead, motivate and project manage the city operations and the delivery of services. The Manager City Operations is part of the senior leadership team, managing people, infrastructure services, projects and budgets.

Bring a strategic, business-focused approach to operational requirements, foster a positive and collaborative work environment, be committed to safety, develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule and coordinate operations and work in maintenance and construction.
  • Effective management of Council services by improving and maintaining existing infrastructure.
  • Leadership and management of the operations team.

Qualifications, skills and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in Management/Leadership or 5 years’ experience in a management role.
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Ability to lead change and develop workforce capability
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Council’s employees and contractors.
