The Department for Child Protection currently have multiple exciting opportunities to join the Ceduna Team as a Lands Based Worker!
We currently have multiple exciting opportunities to join the Ceduna Team as a Lands Based Worker on a full time, term basis for up to 12 months.
The Lands Based Worker is responsible for leading community-based child safety initiatives, within the large geographical remote Aboriginal land areas across Far North Far West Region.
To achieve this you will work as part of a team and engage with Community by developing collaborative relationships with families, community councils and support agencies to support strategies and activities which promote the safety of children and young people and to support families to further develop their strengths, supports and protective factors.
To be successful in this role, you will have the proven ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative and respectful working relationships with all government, non-government and private service providers to support child safety in remote Aboriginal communities. Your experience in actively participating in and reporting on agency partnership meetings, local community meetings and events that focus on child safety together with the ability to deliver effective family outcomes is desirable.
If you have the ability to provide leadership and expertise to other staff in relation to the complex needs of families living in remote Aboriginal communities, then this is the role for you.
