The City of Port Lincoln has a great opportunity for a Manager Building and Property. In this community facing role, the Manager Building and Property will assist in leading the delivery of high-quality community facility management practices ensuring that Council building and properties are provided for the City of Port Lincoln.

Will this work motivate you and get you out of bed each morning?

Jump straight in and lead three major building construction projects including;

  • Refurbishment of ‘ArtEyrea’ community art space
  • Renovation of ‘Manse’ to create the new Regional University Centre
  • Transformation of the Council depot into a modern Operations Complex

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all Council’s landowner/property functions, including:Leases, licences and occupancy agreements;
  • Land and building within the property portfolio;
  • Road reserve agreements / permits;
  • Vesting of reserves and related land issues.
  • Planning and delivery of relevant Council-owned buildings and property capital works and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure high-quality service is provided to community requests related to Council’s building and property portfolio.
  • Participate and assist with development of business plans, financial planning and budgeting, service reviews and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives associated with management of Council buildings and properties.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including leadership of one direct report.

This is what you’ll have in your personal toolkit:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, managing building, property and or commercial/leasing functions, including the oversight and delivery of capital works projects
  • Ability to manage a diverse portfolio/function with varied and competing priorities.
  • Outstanding relationship building and communication influence with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to EEO, WHS and ethical practice principles.
  • Strong written communication skills including project planning, management and report writing.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Current Class C Driver’s License.
