The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure, on behalf of the Government of South Australia is developing a state-wide Jetties Strategic Plan, to explore options to develop a sustainable approach to the future management and prioritisation of investment for South Australian jetties.
The first stage of this review is capturing community, local government and stakeholder views to help inform the development of the Strategic Plan and to gain a broad understanding of how jetties:
- Contribute to the economy;
- Benefit the community; and
- Are used by local communities, visitors and businesses.
In order to capture your views, an online survey has been set up on the YourSAy website and is open until 5.00pm Friday 1 November 2019 and available at: Your SAY
Workshops will be held with local Councils in late October and following the survey and the workshops, a Background Paper will be prepared that will inform the development of a draft Strategic Plan, which will be available for comment in early 2020.
Should you have any queries about the Jetties Strategic Plan please contact the Department on 1800 318 070 or email SAjetties@sa.gov.au
